Springhill Church has been in Gallatin Valley for more than 100 years. We have a long history of God's faithfulness and preservation, including a number of years when the church actually shut it's doors and closed down worship services.

The church was founded by nine members who organized on May 30, 1886. By 1906 the church had grown to 36 members, and Henry Crouse donated an acre of land on which to build the church. The building was dedicated on June 30, 1907, and is where we worship today.

Services were held part-time and (later) weekly until the 1950's when the church was closed since folks began going to town to church. The unused building fell into serious disrepair, and not until 1982 was an effort made to begin services again. Three members met twice a month. By August of that year the church accepted 11 new members, and since then the church has slowly grown. In 1992 Richard McNeely became pastor, serving for 18 years until his retirement in August 2008.

By the mid 90's church membership was over 70, and plans were made to add a fellowship hall to the building. This was built and dedicated in October 2000. Members paid off the mortgage in less than five years which was done--in part--through an annual August Barn Dance. This event features a barbeque dinner, country store, silent and live auctions, and a dance with live music. And yes, it's held in a barn!

The church has continued to grow and welcomed B.J. Otey as pastor in September 2008. He and his family came from St. Louis to share in the work of the Lord in Gallatin Valley at Springhill Church. Come visit! Them come be a part of our church family.
